Thesis structure: introduction, four chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 268 sources, 11 appendices, 136 basic text pages. The research’s results are published in 12 scientific works.
The research field: media and politica system and their political product, media policies adopted and implemented in Republic of Moldova and Western countries.
The goal of the dissertation: investigation of of the possibilities and mechanisms of political influence of the media in the context of promoting democratic political values, recognized as appropriate and consistent with international standards.
The main objectives: the examination of the current trends of media participation in a democratic society; achieving a comparative analysis of media policies in the anglo-saxon countries and Moldova and to determine the closeness between them; setting the components of the process of political influence the media have in anglo-saxon countries and in Moldova.
The methodology of research: method of comparative analysis, historical scientific method, the concordance method, observation and reasoning, induction, deduction, analysis and synthesis.
Scientific innovation: the research proposes to analyze the aspects of the political influence of local media in terms of criteria and principles generally accepted in the international community and also to elucidate the applicability of these principles.
The important scientific issue tackled consits media is to present factors that influence the consumer information policy both in RM and the West both in qualitative and quantitative manner.
The theoretical significance and application value consists of studing of the new meanings and values of political media message, evolution, functions, nature and the perception of it.
The research results were approved in articles published in Revista de Filozofie, Sociologie și Științe Politice, Studia Universitatis, Analele Științifice ale USM, the main theses of the work beeing also presented in the national and international scientific conferences.
