The thesis structure. The tesis includes the introduction, three main chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 184 titles, 6 anexes, 126 basic text, 35 figures, 75 tables.
Publications. The obtained results are published in 8 scientific papers, in these there are a methodological guide and a course support.
Field of study: The theoretical (scientific) and methodological bases of the studying the elements of probability theory and mathematical statistics in middle school and high school.
The purpose of the thesis is about elaborating an efficient methodology for teaching-learningassessment of the theme in middle school and high school, in connection with a documented theoretical content.
The objectives of study: Determination the level of development research in pedagogical theory and practice; defining and explaining the concept of statistical and probabilistic skills; elaborating a model and a methodology of teaching-learning-assesment theme; experimental verification of the effectiveness of applying the methodology developed; analysis and interpretation of data obtained from experiment, systematic research results.
The scientific novelty and originality: It was developed a teaching model and, based on this, it has been founded the methodology to study the elements of statistics and probability in secondary school; it was defining and explaining the concept of statistical and probabilistic skills; the statistical analysis performed to validate the proposed methodology is a model for any similar statistical study of sentences.
The scientific problemsolved consists in theoretical and practical foundation of methodology studying the elements of statistics and probability in secondary school and the adequacy of learning activities with teoretical content, which it triggers mechanisms for formation of statistical and probabilistic skills to secondary school students and it helps to illustrate their educational and applicative values.
The theoretical significance and practical value of the work lies in achievement of a didactic model and in elaborating and application of a methodology of studying the elements of statistics and probability in secondary school.
The implementation of scientific results was achieved in some pre-university education
institutions (schools and colleges) in Romania.
