Work structure: The thesis consists of introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 140 titles, 19 annexes, 150 pages, including 14 charts and 8 tables. Its results are published in 6 scientific works.
The domain of the study: human resources management, industrial relations and their importance for the labour market.
The scope and objectives of the study: widening of industrial relations concept and its diagnostics through the social dialogue evolution in the Republic of Moldova by: conceptual approach (essence, features, etc.) of industrial relations; research of the social dialogue phenomenon for industrial relations’ governance; building arguments for the importance of industrial relations and influence of social dialogue on managerial culture and human resources within the enterprise; mapping progresses and shortcomings within industrial relations in Moldova; drafting proposals for social dialogue mainstreaming to better influence existing industrial relations and managerial processes.
Scientific problem solved. The importance of the scientific research resides in highlights on the contribution the social dialogue and industrial relations play for the economic progress and interests’ promotion of the main factors of production – labour and capital. The practical aspect of the research consists in drafting out of the recommendations for the social dialogue reforms, also from the institutional and legal points of view.
Scientific innovation and originality of receiving results: fulfilled theoretical and practical analysis of the social dialogue role towards streamlining industrial relations and managerial culture. Hence, the paper: highlights the existing borders in researches on industrial relations and social dialogue; establishes, by qualitative researches, the degree of social dialogue and industrial relations’ development in Moldovan enterprises; highlights shortcomings in social dialogue and industrial relations in Moldovan economic and social environment; conveys proposals for mainstreaming of social dialogue in Moldova for better impact on industrial relations, managerial process and labour market, generally.
The theoretical significance and applicative value of the thesis: thesis’ proposals and recommendations are valid for scientific and practical support in the social dialogue streamlining in the Republic of Moldova. They can benefit the social dialogue reforming process and its alignment to European practices and country’s economic and social reforms. They can back up the social partners’ aspirations to modernize their presence and competences within the social dialogue, to mainstream bi-partite social dialogue in Moldova.
The implementation of scientific results: Due to the complexity of the topic under research the implementation of the scientific results are most acceptable on a medium/long term rather than in immediate perspective. The results, embedded in recommendations and proposals, have been validated by the main actors of the social dialog – government, employers and trade unions. The relevance of the scientific results is very much connected with the close perspective of Moldova to signing the Association Agreement with the European Union which highlights the relevance of the social dialog for promotion of economic, social and employment policies and which will condition the adjustment of Moldovan social dialog to European values and practices.
