The thesis consists of 131 pages and includes: an introduction, 4 chapters, conclusions and recommendations, and a bibliography containing a list of 160 sources. The illustrative material includes 34 tables, 7 figures and 2 annexes. The obtained results were published in seven scientific papers.
Field of study: Agriculture, Fruit Growing, 06.01.07.
The aim of research was to increase the productivity of plum, apricot and cherry tree plantations and the economic efficiency of fruit production by agrobiological and economic argumentation of tree training according to a new tree crown form - improved bush type.
The main objectives of dissertation: to study the main phytometric indicators of trees and of photosynthetic activity of plum, apricot and cherry tree plantations depending on the variety and tree crown type; to assess plantation productivity and economic efficiency of fruit production depending on the variety and tree crown type; to determine the bioconstructive parameters of the improved bush type of tree crown; to establish the cultivation methods of trees trained according to improved bush type.
Methodology of the scientific research. The scientific investigations were carried out according to approved methods in fruit growing. Innovation and originality of research. For the first time in our country, it was argued from an agroecological and economic point of view the advantages of training the plum, apricot and cherry trees according to improved bush type of tree crown as compared to their training according to the existing recommendations. For this type of tree crown there were argued the bioconstructive parameters and it was elaborated the method of fruit branches pruning.
Important scientific problem solvent in fruit growing meant increasing product ivy of producing plums, sour, apricot sand the economic efficiency of fruit production bay fruit trees treeing according to spindle system.
Theoretical significance of research. The theoretical significance consists in completing the scientific database necessary to optimize the structure of plum, apricot and cherry tree plantations. Practical value of research. The practical value of the dissertation consists in the elaboration and recommendation for production of a new type of tree crown for plum, apricot and cherry trees and of its cultivation method, which contribute to the increase of fruit production and economic efficiency of their production.
The implementation of scientific results. The main results of investigations were presented and approved within four international scientific symposia (Chisinau, 2008, 2010, 2011; Volgograd, 2008), national and regional practical seminars in this field. Also, they were implemented in production on an area of 1.5 ha within the DES “Criuleni” by training the plum, apricot and cherry trees according to improved bush type of tree crown.
