Domain of research: Rheumatology
The research objective of the study was to explore the possibilities of differential antibiotic treatment in patients with different clinical forms of reactive arthritis and their influence on the criteria of quality of life for these patients.
Methodology of the research: In the study frame there have been involved the fallowing research methods: history, physical examination, laboratory testing, special investigations, and statistical methods.
Scientific novelty and originality was in the comparative study of the effectiveness of doxycycline, levofloxacin and josamycin in different clinical forms of reactive arthritis. The study of the dynamical evolution of the articular syndrome, frequency and duration of remission in intestinal, urogenital, and mixed forms of reactive arthritis and the use of different antibiotics. Determination of the influence of reactive arthritis on quality of life and changes in these parameters under the influence of antibiotic therapy.
Theoretical value of the work is to identify the clinical signs of reactive arthritis, including clinical forms and applied antibacterial treatment.
Practical significance was the differential determination of antimicrobial therapy on the pathogen detected or clinically specific form, which will effectively improve the quality of life for patients.
