Summary

The present project represents a scientific research of the process of institutionalizing of democratic procedures in the third wave of democratization countries, including Republic of Moldova. For this purpose, the author made a synthesis of theoretic-methodological information referring to the topic, which is followed by an analysis of the level of institutionalization of democracy in East-European area, pointing to the dilemmas that confront the decision factors during the process. The author pays attention at some of such aspects of institutionalization of democratic procedures as: historic-cultural, geopolitical, political-sociological and political-juridical.

The actuality of research is organized according to the significance of the study in complex the phenomena of political transition, mechanism and logical way of its development in the Republic of Moldova. The specific theoretical importance of the work lies in applying to the interdisciplinary approach. The empiric basis of the work is presented by monographs, manuals, dictionaries, scientific and publicist articles, written either by foreign and Moldavian authors. The practical aspect consists in the sociological research made by the author in order to reveal the features of institutionalization of democracy in Republic of Moldova.

The content of this work is structured in three chapters, which fully reflect the author’s purpose. In the first chapter the theoretical-methodological aspects of political transition as a global phenomenon are analyzed, different approaches have been studied on the topic. In the second chapter there were analyzed the general models of transition, according to which transition is being developing. In the last chapter there were identified the particularities of the political transition in the Republic of Moldova, having been analyzed the dilemmas of the institutionalization of democracy in this region.

All the conclusions and recommendations, deduced in the results of the recent investigation, are favorable for the process of consolidation of the parties system in the Republic of Moldova. They are addressed to the socio-political organizations from the Republic of Moldova, scientific and educational institutions, and also to the decision factors in the legislative domain.
