Summary

The present thesis deals with the concept of performance management for civil aviation from the Republic of Moldova. In the dissertation the theoretic and scientific aspects of economic performance were examined, the concept of performance management in a market economy was described and economic efficiency through the prism of performance management was revealed. Also, the performances of civil aviation from the Republic of Moldova were analyzed, actions made in the field of aviation evaluated, performances of airports from the Republic of Moldova and main economic agents from local civil aviation characterized.

In the thesis the concept for the performances’ increase of the National Air Network and strategic directions of its activity, models of performance management for the transportation of passengers and cargoes in National Air Network were presented. Also, the formation of logistic hub at the airport of Marculesti was recommended for efficiency increase in National Air Network.

Theoretical statements and practical recommendations, presented in the dissertation, can be used for the creation of National Air Network and will contribute to the performances’ increase of civil aviation from the Republic of Moldova.
