Clinical grounding of direct and indirect restorations in treatment of I class Angle bites
anomalies in adults.
The given work describes the results of a complex examination and features of clinical
picture in 102 patients (24 men and 78 women) with anomalies of the I class Angle bite, of 18-35
years old, whose 312 teeth had been subjected to nonorthodontical treatment. Based on clinical
findings and paraclinical researches, new principles and methods of direct restoration and
reconstruction of the frontal dental arcade’s segment in case of I class Angle’s bite in adults were
worked out, with the further evaluation of the obtained results.
As the result of the researches, epidemiological findings of the I class Angle’s bite
anomalies spread among the adult population were obtained. The structure of the investigated
anomalies has also been examined, as well as the complications which are often found in this group
of patients.
A biometrical apparatus which is easy to handle has been worked out and tested in order to
increase the measuring precision necessary for diagnosing and working out of a plan for treatment
of anomalies we are interested in.
Hard tissues ground surfaces were investigated at micro- and ultramicroscopical level with
diamond dental drills of various grain. It was found out that some microcracks appeared in tissues
when grinding the depth and the number of which directly depends on the abrasion of the drill.
Based on microscopic investigation, the suppositions permitted to improve the process of
processing the hard tissues of the tooth, which have been clinically proved. Also a macro- and
microscopic investigation permitted to study the adhesive thickness of the layer between hard
tissues of the tooth, drills of different abrasion and composite. This information gave us the
possibility to receive a minimum of bonding thickness when using drills of low abrasion.
Roentgenologic changes of cortical lamina of frontal alveolar teeth were revealed. This
given research allowed us to systematize abnormal occlusions in frontal area of dental arcades and
unite them into three groups according to the complications’ degree on radioviziograms.
As the result of the investigations performed, new methods of direct and indirect restoration
of the frontal teeth were worked out and studied; these methods showed high esthetical and
functional results. Their advantage is that they save time; they can be easily applied and do not
require any additional equipment.
