Summary

The aim of the work was to study the spreading of ecto- and endoparasites in domestic birds and the morphophysiological changes caused by ectoparasites in hens as well as the elaboration of the prophylaxis and treatment methods. The following objectives have been proposed: the study of parasitological fauna in hens correlated with the maintenance technologies and the changes of some hematological, biochemical indices, meat quality in infested hens and its study after antiparasitic treatment.

Methodology of scientific researches is based on fundamental data, exposed in scientific works by Dubinina М. (1955), Shumilo R., Luncashu M.(1972), Panasiuk D. (1984), Pisică C. (1996), Daugalieva A., Filipov V. (1991), Olteanu Gh. et al. (2001), Cosoroabă I. (2000).

Scientifical innovation. There were for the first time investigatedthe level of changing of the hematological and bio-chemical indeces of blood, pH, proteins and humidity of meat in infested with different types of ectoparasites chicken, including their post-treatment status. It was revealed that the domestic birds have been infested with 18 species of Mallophagans, 2 species of fleas, 2 species of gamasid mites, 5 species of flukes and 4 species of Coccidae. The extensiveness and intensity of infestation varied depending on the maintenance technology (farm, complex, private sector) and ranged from 49,0% to 100,0%.

The theoretical significance of the work is related to the identification of correlation between the changes of the morphological and functional indices and the level of hens’ infestation with ectoparasites as well as the impact of the new remedies of vegetal origin Ectostop T, Ectostop P on the chicken meat.

The practical importance of the work is connected with the elaboration of a new method of gathering of ectoparasites from the alive birds, with determination of antiparasitical efficiency of some new remedies of vegetal origin as well as the elaboration of the preventative measures of ectoparasitic invasions in domestic birds and their treatment methods.

The obtained results are implemented in the poultry farms applying diverse maintenance technologies in the Republic of Moldova as well as communicated during the academic activity within the Agrarian State University of Moldova.
