Summary

PhD in Biology Thesis Work, Chisinau, 2010. Introduction, 6 chapters, conclusions and practical propositions. The list of references–297 sources, 7 annexes, 218 pages, 38 drawings, 56 tables. The obtained results are published in 105 work papers.

The objectives of work is to study in the comprehensive and complex way the spreading of ecto- and endoparasites in cattle, morphological and physiological changes caused by mono/mixed invasions and antiparasite remedies as well as elaboration of ways of prophylactics and therapy. In order to reach the objectives the following tasks have been set: study of the parasitological fauna in cattle in the Republic of Moldova, determining of the influence of mono/mixed invasions and antiparasite remedies on the morphological and physiological indexes as well as elaboration of antiparasite treatment methods.

The scientific novelty. For the first time a systematic approach have been applied that allowed to determine the extensivity of parasite invasions in cattle in Moldova during certain time periods and depending on the animals age and their maintenance regime, influence of the mono- and polyinvasions and antiparasite remedies on morphological and physiological indexes, the index of infestation’ impact and chemotherapy impact as well as assessment of the recovering indexes of coagulogram, proteinology tests and immunogram in cattle.

The theoretical significance of work is mostly related to the determined for the first time cumulative pathogenetical influence of mix invasions of S. papillosus+ D. lanceolatum; S. papillosus + D. lanceolatum + E. granulosus larvae + Eimeria bovis + E. zuernii + E. smithi + E. ellipsoidalis, in cattle expressed by quantitative and qualitative changes in coagulogram, proteinology indexes and immunogram as a result of the serious enterogenic, hematologic, hepatic, pulmonary and enteral disfunctions caused by parasites.

The practical importance of the work. The new methods and ways of prophylaxis and treatment of mono/mixed invasions in cattle have been elaborated.

The obtained results are already implemented in the cattle private and communal farms of the Republic of Moldova applying different maintenance technologies as well as during academic classes of Veterinary Medicine Faculty, Agrarian State University of Moldova.
