Goal of the work: development of new technologies for obtaining of the preparations based on astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis Flotow CNM-AV-05.
Tasks: adaptation and development of extraction methods, quantification and stabilization of astaxanthin from H. pluvialis biomass; Development of H. pluvialis cultivation methods, maximising the astaxanthin output; Development of the obtaining methods for the preparations based on astaxanthin from H. pluvialis; Estimation of antioxidative activity for the preparations based on astaxanthin and study of their mechanisms.
Scientific novelty. Efficiency of extraction from raw, dried, lyophilized and frozen H. pluvialis biomass was demonstrated using ethanol or plant oils; as well as the ability to increase the astaxanthing production using the coordination compounds of Fe(III), Zn(II) and Co(II,III). First the method of reduction the phosphorus molibdenium reagent was used to estimate the antioxidative activity of astaxanthin.
Theoretical importance: New data were obtained on the ability to manage the biosynthetic processes in H. pluvialis to increase the astaxanthin output using coordination compounds of Zn(II), Fe(III), Co(II) and Co(III); mechanisms of antioxidative and antiradical properties of the preparations based on astaxanthin; ability of oil preparation of astaxanthin to inhibit NO development and oxidation of low density lipoproteins.
Applied importance. Complex technologies for the obtaining of preparations based on astaxanthin from H. pluvialis, developed in this work, give the opportunities for optimization and further improvement of efficacy in the production of astaxanthin preparations.
Application of scientific results. The technologies for the obtaining of lipidic preparations on the basis of astaxanthine of algal origine have been implemented on the „Ficotehfarm” LTD
