The structure of the dissertasion: list of abreviations, introductions, three chapters, conclusions, bibliography made up of 184 nominations, 178 pages of text contents and 3 tables. The results achieved are published in 10 scientific papers.
The studying domain of the thesis is the Romanian Military terminology, including the XIII-th to XIX-th centuries. The tesis objectives concern the analysis and chronological display of the Romanian Military Terminological lexicon; detecting the etymons of some military terms, in order to ease the structural, lexical and semantic analysis: to relate chronologically the historical process of the military lexicon formation.
The scientifical novelty and originality of the dissertation is that this is the first try to display in whole, based on documented historical research of lexical and semantic development of military terminology, the grammatical structure and the Romanian etymology and terminology from the Medieval Age to the beginning of Modern period (the XIX-th century).
The herein thesis was moslymotivated on absence of such words and researches that would analize thoroughly the military terminology, from the perspective of history and lexical – semantic structural grammatical analysis.
The theoretical significanceof the work comes from a semantic, etymological and structural researches of Romanian Military terminology. The military terminological metalanguage needs both an extended and a restricted research in order to determine exactly the stages of historical development of Romanian Military Terminology.
The resultsof the research can be casily used to the studying courses contents in universities concerning the terminology as a whole or the Military terminology (for the military department).
Meanwhile the study would be useful to elaborating specialized field dictionaries and other lexicografical and lexicological works.
