The dissertation is devoted to study of algal composition in the soils of Chishinau city. As a result of our investigations were identified 344 species and varieties of alga, among them 46 species are new for Moldova. This species belongs to 19 orders, 47 families and 103 genera concerns to 5 divisions. In the investigated soils prevail blue-green algae represented by 154 species and varieties, followed by 111 species of green algae. Also there were distinguished 48 species of Xanthophta, 28 species of Bacillariophyta and 3 species of Euglenophyta. From the amount of 344 species only 114 species are able to develop actively in these soils. There were established the taxonomical and ecological structure of algal communities and the specific particuliarities of there development depending on different antropic factors. It has been shown that they are distinguished by taxonomical structure, correlation between the main divisions, by average of species in each sample. More than 50 species can be used as bioindicators of soils ecological condition. The most representative of them are Phormidium autumnale, Ph.paulsenianum, Ph. faveolarum, Ph. fragile, Ph. jadinianum, Ph. molle, Ph. tenue, Ph. uncinatum, Oscillatoria limosa, O.laetevirens, O. tenuis, Chlorella terricola, Scenedesmus acuminatus, Chlamydomonas gelatinosa, Ch.gloeogama, Hantzshia amphioxys, Diatoma vulgare, Navicula mutica var.mutica, N.mutica var.nivalis.
