Summary

The research is presented on 130 pages of the basic text and consists of introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography comprising 353 titles. The thesis results have been reflected in 11 scientific publications.

Field of Study: Ontology and Gnosiology.

The purpose of the research: is to develop a theoretical approach on the specifics of the contemporary civilizing processes, accompanied by a multidisciplinary analysis of the impact of universalization and dynamics of the socio-historical transformations on historical consciousness. The objectives of the research: the analytic-synthetic presentation of the social consciousness specific, the analysis of historical knowledge paradigms; the determination of the historical process as the existence of unity and diversity; approaching historical time as a component of the ontic structure of the humanity; the analysis of the historical space formation from the perspective of contemporary civilizing processes; elimination of the politics and history confluence; the determination of socio-cultural aspects of globalization and civilizations’ interaction; the estimation of historical identity redefinition and formation of the historical consciousness.

Scientific innovation/novelty of the research The given research is the first in the Republic of Moldova which addresses the contemporary civilizing process from multidisciplinary perspective; defines contemporary social and historical transformations; approaches the universalization and dynamics as a constituent factor of contemporary historical consciousness; establishes the globalization as the dominant of the contemporary historical process and historical consciousness formation.

The scientific value of the research consists in: drafting and substantiation of a new way of conceiving the historical idea evolution and of the impact of politics on history; reasoning the contradictory nature of historical knowledge that keeps historical consciousness between truth and fiction; identifying the difficulties experienced by non-Western peoples in the process of joining a Western-style global civilization, setting the ways in which the historical transformations influence the peculiarities of historical time and space as the ways of human existence objectification

The applicative/ practical value of the research is determined by the necessity to realize the national and universal history in conditions of modern dynamic and universal processes, that provoke historical and philosophical thinking/mind crises. This phenomenon study, which constitutes a very important element of social consciousness, plays a significant role in encouraging humans for social actions that determine their orientation in case when their overall vision of the world lacks. The obtained results can be used in further study of contemporary historic processes and their actions regarding their dynamics and mobility in the process of concepts and theories development, which should contain the following defining elements: globalization, multiculturalism, communication, identity, consciousness, etc. The results of the given study also presents educative value and can be therefore used as the material for the teaching course support in Philosophy, Philosophy of History, Culture and Civilization, Ethno-History, Historic Anthropology.
