Summary

The research has 140 pages of core text, including introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, annotation in Romanian, English and Russian, key-words, bibliography (175 sources). The basic content of the thesis is presented in 12 scientific papers. There are also included 8 tables and 23 images.

The field of research: Initial formation of the students of the faculties with pedagogical profile.

The aim of the research is to conceptualize and elaborate the methodology of the process of forming the competence of intercultural education.

The objectives of the research: determination the essence of intercultural education, identification of premises and conditions for achieving intercultural education, analysis of the epistemological and methodological context of training the teaching skills, developing a training model of the competence of intercultural education, implementation and experimental validation of the model of competence of intercultural education; analysis and interpretation of data obtained from the experiment, systematization of the research results, formulation of general conclusions and practical recommendations.

The scientific novelty and originality of the research: the analysis of the premises of diversity in education, the definition and development of the concept of competence of intercultural education, the analysis of the place of intercultural education in the context of new education, the analysis, description and interpretation of the psychological, pedagogical and social aspects of the competence of intercultural education, the elaboration of the model of forming the competence of intercultural education to future teachers. The scientific problem solved in the investigated area consists in the elaboration, the argumentation and projecting of a pedagogical model of forming the competence of intercultural education.

The theoretical value of the research consists in demonstrating the complexity of the intercultural education and the need for cultural diversity, deducing the principles that are the basis for the model of forming the competence of intercultural education, demonstrating that the model of forming the competence of intercultural education is applicable in the process of forming the teachers on the basis of generic and specific competences.

The practical value of the research results from the objectives of the research involved in the theoretical and methodological plan. The model of training the competence of intercultural education is useful in the teaching process of the students of the faculties with pedagogical profile. This model can be used for training other skills in teacher training, in professional development of teachers who will teach other subjects. The model validated by the experiment, is a functional tool to achieve in practice the concept of professional training by holding generic and specific skills.

The implementation of the scientific results has been achieved at the institutional level at Moldova State University by developing the model of forming the competence of intercultural education, developing and implementing the curriculum for the subject Methods of teaching a foreign language, participating at international and national conferences, and elaborating scientific articles.
