Structure of the thesis includes introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, list of references from 126 sources, 14 appendixes, 133 pages of the main text, 24 figures, 46 tables, 8 formulas. The obtained results of the investigation were published in 11 scientific papers.
The field of the research are the forms and methods of state regulation in Moldova’s agricultural sector.
The methodology of research includes analysis and synthesis, economic and statistic methods, rating evaluation method, the non-parametric method DEA.
The main goal and objectives of this research is to study the state regulation of Moldova’s agricultural sector and the elaboration of recommendations for its improving.
The scientific innovation of the carried research is: the establishment the main directions of state regulation in agricultural sector; developing the method of rating appreciation of agricultural enterprises for the allocation of budget resources; appreciating the subsidies allocation on different types of material resources by using the DEA model, the evaluation of subsidies efficiency on outputs and profits, and estimating the optimal value of subsidies.
The theoretical importance is that the established results and regularity in state regulation of the agricultural sector will contribute to the development of the theoretical and methodological base in the area.
The practical importance of the thesis is that the main results can be used by policy
makers and institutions in agriculture for the improvement of existing governmental regulation
system. The recommended methods will allow establishing the main direction of regulation for
agricultural enterprises, increasing their investments, improving the level of profitability,
selection of enterprises for subsidies allocation, and finding the minimal value of subsidies
needed for supporting agricultural producers and the agricultural sector in general.
