Structure: introduction, three chapters, general conclusion, recommendations, bibliogra-phy of 215 sources, 10 appendixes, 143 pages of basic text, 9 figures, 24 tables. 23 articles have been published on the material of the thesis research.
The area of the research was the methodology of teaching elementary reading and writing.
The objective of the research was to work out scientifically-based and experimentally-tested system of the skills formation in elementary reading and writing.
The mission of the research was working out and experimental testing of the correct-ness, expediency and effectiveness of the originated system. The scientific novelty and originality of the research lie in the working out the didactic system of modern teaching reading and writing; suggesting effective methods and techniques to form elementary skills of reading and writing.
Actual scientific problem of high significance, resolved in the research is to design conceptual provisions and develop the complex system of teaching elementary reading and writing.
The theoretical significance of the research consists in the fact that theoretical and scientifically-methodological aspects of modern teaching reading and writing have been clarified with taking into account the continuity between pre-school and school learning; a complex sys-tem of teaching elementary reading and writing has been originated.
The practical significance of the research is that the factor of obligatory preparation of six-years children to the learning in the first form according to the established program can be used in the practice of primary school teachers.
The implementation of the research results was conducted on the basis of Petru Movila Lyceum and Kindergarten 165.
