On the basis of the published works in our country and abroad the most important problems linked with incantation and incantating were analyzed, among which an important place is played by the origin and evolution of the ritual, terminological determinations and classification of the texts of magic poems.

As it was affirmed, the archaic thought equalizes the revealing of the sickness origin with recovery. The divinatory techniques, described in the thesis, express the complex approach of the divinatory practices present in other popular faiths as well.

The research is elaborated in the context of typological functional system of recovery rituals. The examples present an interest from the point of view of compared researches, demonstrating the presence of some motifs of Indo-European origin partially penetrated through Ancient Greek and Romanian culture.

The problems linked with the artistic structure of incantation are approached under a new light. At the same time, the registered materials in the last decades indicate the degradation of the species, expressed through the reducing of the number of rows of the poem texts.
