Summary

The present paper represents a synchronic – diachronic study at the intersection between the historical evolution and the structural and semantic analysis of the economic management terminology of Romanian language. The appearance and the development of the economic management terminology is presented through various historical periods up to the present stage.

According to the fulfilled investigation, based on about 10.000 cards, we come to the conclusion, that a great number of the economic management terms were modalitied with the transition from the socio-feudal system to the capitalist one (the end of the XVIII century- beginning of the XIX century). This modification is based on the fact that the new social circumstances led to a powerful Romanic influence on Romanian language, which fact made a lot of old terms and terminological expressions get out of use.

Under the formal-structural aspect, from 4025 terms, there were detected 1386 monomembered terms (34,4%) and 2639 terminological word combinations (65,6%).

As a result of the investigation it was established that in order to satisfy the increasing communicative needs, the economic management terminology was used by common languages word-stock. Thus a great number of words (and word combinations) of common usage become terms in order to denote economic management notions. Another particularity of economic management terminology is reterminologysation, according to which the terminological stock 'is enreached by other metalanguages.

The economic management terms, in the long run, being drawn in other functional stiles, are subjected to a partial desemantisation. The paper identifies and characterizes two types of determinologysation of the economic management terms: relative and final.

Following the process of determinologysation the semantic modifications of the terms, the appearance of some connotative values and the preserving at the same time the link with its primary meaning was analyzed in the given paper.
