This work’s purpose is to improve the training process oh the young football players through the prosper use of certain athletic means.
The study of the special literature, both from the point of view of sportive training as well as of the developing characteristics specific to their age, has revealed the specialists concern for the physical training of the young football players. Within it, spud developsement, an essential motor quality in football, holds an important place in training, especially at this age (12-14).
The pedagogic experiment has been carried on with the participation of two “C” junior teams. Without neglecting the tactical-technical aspect, the experimental groups has focused on the physical factor using athletic means. The correct learning of the running technique has been created a fair report between the exercises for liniar speed developement (specific to athletics) and those for speed developement specific to the game (with change of direction, turns and pivoting etc.).
The tests performed on both groups have showen the fact that the proper use of athletic means led to a significant progres of the experimental group regarding the indexes of physical training and especially of speed.
The data regarding the somatic developement and those regarding the values
of the physical training tests of the players at this age represent real facts useful to
the specialists in the domain.
