The present research is dedicated to the solution of problem of improving of initial selection of sportsmen in TAEKWONDO WTF on basis of worked out pedagogical and medicobiological criteria of diagnostics of potential abilities.
The analyses of data which are presented in a special and scientific literature as well as the specialist’s opinions in the selected kind of sport demonstrate that the problem of diagnostics of potential abilities of beginners’ sportsmen for initial selection is imperfect and not adequately explored. The system of selection is incomplete and one-sided. The system of tests for determination of the level of development of impellent abilities of sportsmen in TAEKWONDO WTF is worked out insufficiently.
Pedagogical and medicobiological criteria of diagnostics of potential abilities of sportsmen in TAEKWONDO WTF were worked out as a result of conducted research and effectiveness of use of it for initial selection were experimentally proved during of two pedagogical experiments. The sportsmen of experimental groups which were selected by the worked out criteria, showed greatly higher level of indices of impellent abilities and technical and tactical movements.
The results of researches can be used as practical recommendations for the coaches of sports clubs, federations and sports schools as well as teaching material for the students of sports highest educational institutions with specialization “TAEKWONDO WTF”.
