Summary

We can point out a very clear indicator of a growing trend of politicization of the organized crime, which, no matter what the size of the country is, does not change the essence and objectives of the criminal communities. They not only copy the structure of the society and oppose to its representative – the state, but also seek to transform the latter into an instrument of theirs. One of the most important components in the sphere of strengthening each country’s security is its collaboration with other countries and with international organizations.

The globalization of the most acute problems faced within the fight against criminality determines the urgency of the international collaboration, including in fighting against transnational criminality.

Corruption is the most difficult problem faced within the fight against criminality. Healthy forces of the society fear the transformation of the country into a corrupted, thieves’ state, as well as the unification of the state structures with the criminality. Creation of a sound anti-criminal, anti-corruption barrier should become the main priority of the actual politics, considering that corruption is already a social catastrophe that threatens the very basis of the state.

The last 10 years of the XX-th century were marked by a huge number of terrorist acts worldwide. Unfavorable qualitative changes occur. An analysis of trends of terrorism development permits the conclusion that this phenomenon will support further changes of its forms. There are chances that, in a short or middle – term perspective, the attempts to increase international terrorist groups’ activity on the territory of the former USSR will grow.

Only common efforts of all the countries of the world can bring positive results in the struggle for limiting organized and international crime and generate hope that this dangerous social phenomenon can be liquidated.
