In accordance with the objectives set in the experiment on 33 rabbits and clinical observation of 432 patients with liver lesions 189 (43,75 %), spleen lesions 207 (47,92 %), and combined lesions of liver and spleen 36 (8,33%), good haemostatic and biliostatic effect of TachoComb® were revealed in healthy tissues, pathologically changed liver tissues and also in conditions of peritonitis, provoked by intestinal content. The advantage of save – organ operations with the application of TachoComb® over other surgical treatment methods was proved.
The number of complications in control group with liver injured were 27,87%, meanwhile it was 10,31 % during the save – organ treatment application. Total percentage of deaths of people with injured liver was 58 (25,78 %).
Applying new haemostatic methods to injured livers helped to reduce postoperative death down to 19 (19,58 %) comparing to 33 (27,05 %) in the control group.
With spleen injuries after splenectomy the total number of complications was 12,37 %, but using save – organ operations - 2,04 %. General number of deaths was 39 (16,04 %), all after splenectomy.
Thus, the developed tactic of treatment of patients with liver and spleen traumas is the perspective method in realization of which the leading role belongs to TachoComb®.
