Summary

Field of study: Political Science and Security Studies.

The purpose and objectives of the thesis: The goal is to develop a detailed conceptual and practical vision in combating contemporary terrorism and strengthening of international security system. Under this basic purposes, we solved the following tasks: a study of historiography scientific elaborations on the topic; theoretical and methodological approach benchmarks investigative actions to combat terrorism and maintaining international security; determining role in ensuring international security system, stability and combating contemporary terrorism; analysis and impact of assessment international terrorist organizations on strengthening international security system; Republic of Moldova’s research contribution to combating terrorism in the process of strengthening international security.

Scientific novelty of the research: is the first large interdisciplinary contemporary study in Moldova on combating terrorism in the context of strengthening international security. The detailed contemporary concepts are synthesized on combating terrorism and international security; assessed the impact of terrorist organizations on international security system; summarizing the strategic objectives to combat terrorism and to strengthen the system of contemporary international security; there was analyzed and argued the contribution of Moldova in combating terrorism and strengthening international security system.

The solved scientific problem: is to develop a detailed conceptual vision in combating contemporary terrorism and strengthening of international security system, in highlighting the strategic objectives in combating contemporary terrorism, building international security system and developing conclusions and useful recommendations on operation of the system of international security and combating contemporary terrorism.

The theoretical significance and value of the work: is to develop scientific research on combating contemporary terrorism in the context of strengthening international security and in practical terms of investigations have resulted in the development and presentation of an interdisciplinary study bill which meant to contribute to the elucidation of the danger of international contemporary terrorism.

The implementation of the scientific results: was achieved through examination and approval of the defence at the Department of Political and Administrative Sciences and Scientific Seminar of the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences, the State University of Moldova. The research was exposed to 14 national and international conferences and published in 22 scientific papers.
