Summary

Structure of the dissertation: Introduction, 3 chapters, main conclusions and recommendations, 135 pages of main text, bibliography and archival sources of 213 items, 3 annexes.

Field of the research: Theory and history of Theatre. The aim of the thesis: a comprehensive study of the characteristics of the directing style of the masters of Russian theaters in Moldova in the context of the theatrical process of the country at the turn of the century.

Tasks of the research: to explore the individual director's methodology, problematics and the style of the masters of Russian theaters in Moldova on examples of individual performances; to analyze the condition of stage direction and identify its specific features; to determine the place and role of Russian theaters in the development of the Moldavian theatrical culture.

Scientific novelty and originality of the work lies in the maiden attempt of comprehensive study of the particularities of stage direction in Russian theaters of Moldova at the turn of century; the work brings into the scientific use an extensive and previously unknown source studying and textual material, information that was obtained by interviewing.

Main resolved scientific problem solved in researched field is to eliminate the particularities of stage direction of the masters of Russian scene of Moldova in the late XX - early XXI centuries that led to the objective evaluation of their creative activity in view of detecting their role and effect on the theatrical process of Republic of Moldova at the turn of century. Theoretical significance. The materials, which are introduced into scientific circulation, contribute to the study of the theatrical process of Russian theaters of Moldova the turn of the century and will contribute to further scientific developments in the field of studying of native theatrical culture.

The practical significance of the work. The practical importance of work is the possibility to use its results as an educational and scientific-methodological guide in Universities by stage direction of Moldova at the turn of the century; its results could be a source studying basis and could be applied in scientific research of the problems of theatre process of the country in the end of XX –beginning of XI centuries.

Implementation of scientific results: The results of research were reflected in 5 scientific publications (volume: 4, 34 author's sheets) and represented on scientific conferences in Prague, Chisinau, Tiraspol. The results of research are reflected in the lecture courses and practical trainings conducted by the author at Transdniestrian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko, Transdniestrian State Institute of Arts, Pedagogical college of Bendery. 8
