Summary

Field of study: Didactic School (Music).

Research aim: establishing psycho-pedagogical benchmarks of the concept ethno-artistic culture and drawing up a model for developing pupils’ ethno-artistic culture by using folk theatre.

Research objectives: Studying the historical background of the research issue; enhancing the ethno-artistic and musicological aspects of Romanian folk theatre; establishing functions and principles of ethno-artistic education; identifying objectives, methodology of developing pupils’ ethno-artistic culture; elaborating, testing and validating the pedagogical model of training pupils’ ethno-artistic culture through folk theatre by starting to practice it in a limited geographical area, but which could be extended to current generations; interpreting experimental data and drawing up general conclusions and practical recommendations regarding the integration of such values in the educational activity.

Scientific novelty lies in substantiating the concept of ethno-artistic culture; selecting and adapting/integrating it to/in the teaching process of Romanian folklore, especially of the folk theatre from Trotus Valley; identifying/defining the principles of developing pupils’ ethno-artistic culture; developing and experimentally validating the pedagogical model of developing pupils’ ethno-artistic culture by using folk theatre;

The scientific problem that has been solved lies in the psycho-pedagogical substantiation of developing the ethno-artistic culture by integrating the folk theatre from the perspective of using the psycho-pedagogical model that has been developed.

The theoretical significance of the research consists in generalizing the scientific characteristics of research concerning the concept of ethno-artistic culture, defining and characterizing the notion of ethno-artistic culture, systematizing the aims / objectives of developing ethno-artistic culture, developing evaluation criteria for assessing it.

The applicative value of the research is certified by the suggested Model as a teaching demarche validated by experiment. The research provides significant suggestions for designing some original contents, for the teachers’ continuous learning. It can be used in the interaction between culturological and artistic principles, on one hand, and educational and pedagogical principles - on the other.

The implementation of scientific results was done through scientific publications, presentations during scientific conferences, professorial councils. They were used in the educational practice by teachers and educators.
