Summary

Thesis structure is composed of: introduction, 3 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 202 titles, 28 annexes, 129 pages of basic text, 48 figures, 14 tables. The obtained results are published in 11 scientific works, including 3 with co-authors.

Field of study: strategic management of the agricultural sector.

Research goal: the development of theoretical positions and development of ways to improve the strategic management of the agricultural sector of the economy of the country under market conditions taking into account risk factors.

Objectives of research: disclosure of the state and definition of the methodological foundations of strategic management of the enterprises of the agrarian sector; determination of characteristics of strategic management in the agrarian sector and identification of the factors that have a negative impact on the production of agrarian products by expert estimates method; summary of the main trends of development of agrarian sector of the economy and the implementation of agri-food sector analysis by product groups; analysis of the strategic management of the agrarian sector of the economy in conditions of financial support for the agrarian sector; elaboration of the model the optimal placement of the production infrastructure of the agrarian sector.

Scientific novelty and originality of the results: there was updated and supplemented the definition of strategic management in relation to the enterprises of the agricultural sector; there has been developed the mechanism of risk level assessment of agricultural production using the method of expert risk-based assessments; there was performed an analysis and identified peculiarities and tendencies of the development of interstate agricultural clusters in six groups of European countries; there was proposed a systematic approach the design and implement the innovative strategic map of companies of the agrarian sector of the Republic of Moldova; there was developed a model for calculating the optimal placement of the production infrastructure of the agricultural sector on the basis of economic and mathematical models of the needed capacity of post-harvest storage facilities of apples.

The theoretical significance of the work consists in the formulation and interpretation of the new categories of strategic management based on the existing different conceptual approaches, developing ways to improve strategic management in the agricultural sector of the economy.

The practical significance of the work is determined by the fact that the conclusions set out, proposed directions and recommendations on the improvement of strategic management of the agricultural sector of the economy can find application in the development prospects of the functioning of individual enterprises of the agricultural sector of the country, improving the strategic management of the sector as a whole.

The implementation of scientific results. Certain practical results obtained in the thesis are used by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova, State Enterprisein „Agricultural Information Centre”, APEF „Moldova Fruct”, L.L.C. „LARGO-TERRA” and „CARIOPSA”, which is confirmed by five implementation acts.
