In the focus of the given investigation are the contemporary conflicts and the methods of solving them, with a case study on the Transnistrian and Palestine-Israeli conflicts.
The choice of the topic was determined by the fact that conflicts of this level and character are a serious problem nowadays and are confronted by the entire world. Even the efforts of such international organizations as UN and NATO are sometimes insufficient.
Extended in time and “frozen” in character, the complexity of the Transnistrian and Palestine-Israeli conflicts is determined by the threat they present to the territorial integrity of states where they have been unleashed. For that reason they menace the regional stability and capture the concern of the entire world. These conflicts are the main cause of peace fragility in the given regions and that is why both parts, Republic of Moldova and Palestine and Israel, have to undertake all the measures they have at their disposal to contribute to the peaceful resolution of these long lasting conflicts that endanger the international community. The South-East European and Middle East statehood can be achieved only when these conflicts will be permanently resolved.
On the basis of contemporary conflicts typology distinguished in the thesis were identified the nature of the conflicts and the methods to resolve them, explaining their efficacy in space and time.
The thesis analyzes the causes and the stages of the Transnistrian and Palestine-Israeli conflicts. The result of the research, using the comparative method, identified the similarities and the differences of the Transnistrian and Palestine-Israeli conflicts.
The thesis analyzes all the attempts undertaken by the parts and all the possibilities they had to resolve the crisis with have concrete results today; there are elaborated principles and made proposals which could lead to the peaceful resolution of these conflicts, in the opinion of the author.
