Summary

The thesis structure includes an introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, references, (Romanian, English, Russian) annotation, keywords in Romanian, English and Russian, glossary, list of abbreviations, 12 annexes, 118 pages of main text, 16 tables, 14 figures.

Publications on thesis subject: 13 scientific papers (2 articles in specialized journals and 7 presentations at national and international conferences, 1 dictionary, 3 textbooks).

Field of study: General theory of education.

The research purpose is to establish pedagogical and psychological landmarks and to develop the Pedagogical model of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence.

Research objectives: to study scientific papers on the investigated phenomenon; to analyze theoretical approaches about communicative competence; to establish principles, conditions and modalities of foreign language medical vocabulary approach in medical students; to specify and delimit the basic concepts of foreign language communication; to develop, experiment and validate the Pedagogical model of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence ; to develop and experiment the Pedagogical program of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence.

The innovation and originality of the obtained results are objectified by the theoretical and praxiological fundamentation of the Pedagogical model of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence through learning situations based on the Program of developing foreign language communicative competence.

The scientific problem solved lies in designing the Pedagogical model of developing foreign language communicative competence through learning situations, acquisition of specialized vocabulary and methodological contribution to modernization of the Program of developing foreign language communicative competence.

The theoretical importance of the research is justified by establishing some principles, conditions and modalities of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence; valuing foreign language specialized vocabulary of medical students through exercises meant to overcome the difficulties of acquiring FL; development, testing and validation of the Pedagogical model of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence based on the Program of developing foreign language communicative competence.

The practical value of the research lies in establishing: - peculiarities of promoting education focused on developing foreign language communication competence; - favorable conditions for developing ML and verbal – communicative skills of medical students; - methodological recommendations for teachers and authors of curricula, textbooks, guides etc. to make students` ML development efficient; -the Pedagogical model of developing medical students` foreign language communicative competence; - main types of verbal – communicative situations of developing foreign language communicative competence . - groups of problems and difficulties in developing medical students`ML.

The implementation of scientific results has been shown at international conferences, published in scientific and methodological materials and experimented in higher education institutions in the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
