Field of study: surgery, hepatology, sociology.
Purpose of the thesis: Evaluation of the quality of life of patients treated for liver cirrhosis in relation to the types of surgical treatment applied.
Objectives of the thesis: adaptation of the SF-LDQOL questionnaire in Romanian space; determining the psychometric peculiarities of the quality of life of patients diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver; dynamic, long-term analysis of quality of life differences in relation to the types of surgical treatment applied; the analysis of therapeutic results and changes in quality of life in relation to the treatment scheme used in a perioperative medical care protocol.
Novelty and scientific originality: adaptation in the Romanian space of the SF-LDQOL questionnaire elaborated for the appreciation of the quality of life of the hepatic patient; assessing the quality of life and determining the psychometric particularities of patients of surgical interest diagnosed with cirrhosis; analyzing the differences in quality of life in relation to the types of surgical treatment applied and the dynamic observation of the indices that measure it; the correlation of long-term therapeutic outcomes and factors influencing the quality of life of surgically assisted cirrhotic patients; developing a protocol for perioperative medical care and analyzing the relationship between the treatment schedule and changes in the quality of life.
The scientific problem solvedin the thesis consists in a complex and dynamic evaluation of the quality of life components with well-established questionnaires able to provide a real picture of the impact of hepatic cirrhosis, surgical therapies and the protocol of perioperative therapeutic assistance on the state of health.
Theoretical significance and applicative value of the work: the results obtained allowed the methodology to be finalized and the quality of life of surgically assisted cirrhotic patients improved. Based on the research, a protocol for perioperative therapeutic approach was elaborated by multidisciplinary means with favorable implications for the patients.
The results of the study were applied in the didactic and curative process of the Surgery Clinic no. 2 and the Department of Internal Medicine, USMF "Nicolae Testemitanu", being reflected in 3 acts of implementation
