Structure of the thesis: the thesis includes: introduction, there chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, 150 of body text, bibliography with 214 sources, 12 annexes, 20 figures and 5 tables. The results of the research are reflected in 14 scientific publications with a volume of 12.15 c.a. Area of research: sociology. The aim of the research is to research the problems and practices of social inclusion of people with disabilities in the RM from the perspectives of social role valorisation and to strengthen the institutional mechanism for development, implementation and monitoring the social inclusion policies.

Research goals: analysis of historiography and conceptual-theoretical bases of social inclusion of people with disabilities; grounding the conceptual approaches of social inclusion and disability; elaboration of methodology for holistic research on social inclusion issues of people with disabilities; analyses and improvement of the legal and normative framework in the field of social inclusion of persons with disabilities based on international standards; determining the socio-demographic profile of people with disabilities; identifying the barriers to social inclusion of people with disabilities; analysis of institutional mechanisms for the development and implementation of social inclusion policies; studying mechanisms to finance social inclusion policies for people with disabilities; rethinking the mechanism for evaluation and monitoring of the social inclusion policies of people with disabilities. The object of the study represents the social inclusion in multidimensional aspect from the perspectives of social role valorisation.

The subject of the research are people with disabilities living in communities and residential institutions from the perspective of social role valorisation. Scientific novelty and originality consists in grounding the disability model based on rights and social role vaporization approach by elaborating the innovative conceptual methodology for the comparative researches. This methodology is available to be scaled up for studies on social inclusion of other vulnerable groups. The innovative element consists in researching the opinions of people with disabilities, targeting research groups and consulting their views in the process of developing recommendations for developing and enhancing social inclusion policies.

The important solved scientific problem consists in the scientific substantiation of social inclusion in relation to disability, which has enabled the identification of barriers to inclusion from the perspective of the social role valorisation of people with disabilities in order to strengthen the institutional mechanisms for the development, implementation and monitoring of social policies. The theoretical significance of the thesis lies in conceptualizing and introducing in the science and practice of the Republic of Moldova the concept of social inclusion promoted by the EU and the contemporary model of approaching disability based on rights and social valorising roles.

The empiric value of the thesis. The concepts and inclusion barriers identified through the research are recommended and will continue to be recommended to governmental and non-governmental decision-makers to develop policy papers and to prioritize the issues to be addressed for social inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Implementation of scientific results. The main results of the research were published in a sociological study and reflected in 14 scientific papers published in magazines and collective monographies. Theses from the dissertation were presented at 12 national and international conferences. The results of the research have been used by public authorities in the process of development of the national policies and are applicable in the development of community social services and continuous training courses for social workers and staff engaged in social services delivery for people with disabilities.
