Structure of the thesis: Introduction, 3 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 214 titles, 136 text pages. The obtained results were published in 8 scientific papers.
Field of study. Criminology. The purpose of the paper is to investigate the domestic violence misdemeanor through the lens of international and national legislative acts, criminological analysis and preventive measures oriented to eradication in reasonable limits of this type of crime. Objectives: scientific papers’ analysis from criminal doctrine published on the topic of the investigated problem; evaluation of international control on domestic violence misdemeanor and their impact on national regulations; analysis of compromising models of domestic violence in the criminal law of other states; analysis and revealing questions concerning penal and contravention incrimination of domestic violence; revealing the concept of domestic violence criminology and the dimensions that are its own; revealing the criminological peculiarities and analyzing the statistical dimension of the domestic violence felony; studying the causes and factors of domestic violence; criminological characterization of the aggressors’ features and victims of domestic violence; elucidation of general, special-criminological and victimological measures of domestic violence, etc.
Novelty and scientific originality. The present study represents a complex research of the theoretical and practical problems regarding the domestic violence felony, by offering it an appreciation and being proposed a counteracting strategy of this type of crime through special criminological measures and law-preventive measures.
The important scientific resolved problem consists of elucidating the criminological dimensions of the phenomenon, as well as to improve the criminal procedure, as the fact of domestic violence prevention. The theoretical significance and the applicative value of the work are the results of a complex and multilateral study of the legal-criminal and criminological features of domestic violence, with concrete proposals aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the prevention activity of the targeted phenomenon.
The implementation of scientific results are reflected in the process of carrying out new scientific studies, in the activity of public authorities empowered to prevent and combat domestic violence, in lawmaking process as well as in the educational process on the course of criminal law and criminology
