Summary

The structure of the thesis includes introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, 235 sources, 15 annexes, 127 basic text pages, annotation (Romanian, English and Russian), list of abbreviations, 39 figures, and 29 charts. The results of the research are published in 9 scientific papers.

Field of study: Special Pedagogy.

The purpose of this work is to determine the specific psychophysical developmental features of the adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities, and on this basis to develop a rehabilitation system through adaptive physical education.

Objectives of the study: 1. Study of theory and practice of the rehabilitation process of adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities in the system of adaptive physical education and game activities. 2. Assessment of the psychophysical development level of adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities and stable intellect. 3. The development of a program of adaptive physical education based on the “football” game activity for adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities. 4. Implementation of the developed program and identification of opportunities of its impact on the process of social rehabilitation and integration of pupils with intellectual disability in society.

The scientific innovation and originality of the research consists of: determining the specific psycho-physical developmental features of the adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities; development of the conceptual educational and training program content of APE for children with intellectual disabilities under the school curriculum of "Physical Education" discipline and extracurricular leisure andsporting activities; developing the content of the APE program that will contribute on rehabilitation and socialization of children with intellectual disabilities.

The study issue is determining the the specific psychophysical developmental features of the adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities and the development of the content and conditions of adaptive physical education as the basis for their successful rehabilitation.

The theoretical value of the thesis consists in gathering and systematization of the new data related to the psychophysical training received by the adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities through the adaptive physical education activities; extending the scientific-educational view on methods, techniques and means used in organizing the adaptive physical education activities for adolescents with intellectual disabilities, in order to supplement the system of knowledge and approach on the existing potential of an adolescent, using physical education and partly by means of football, the psychophysical qualities of adolescents.

The applied value of the research is the development of the content of the adaptive physical education program for adolescent girls with intellectual disabilities on a pilot basis as a part of the discipline "Physical Education" and "Football"; elaboration of an implementation methodology of APE within the auxiliary schools in and out of school activities; validation of criteria on the assessment of the level of physical development and motor training of teen girls with mental deficiencies through participation in physical education and game activities.

Implementation of scientific results. The received theoretical and practical data were discussed in the Departments of Special Psychopedagogyat "Ion Creangă" State Pedagogical University, in the process of continuous professional training of teachers; it has been tested and introduced into the practice of physical education of pupils of Auxiliary School No. 6 and Auxiliary Boarding School No.5.
