The purpose of the thesis is to develop deeply theoretical and applicative precepts from the total quality of management field and to determine the interdependencies between the TQM elements and the performances of producing companies/trading companies of finishing material by using an econometric model.

The objectives of the thesis are: to study and develop of quality field precepts, the quality of management and TQM, to establish the directions in the field of import and export of Republic of Moldova for finishing materials, to research the legislative particularities from producing, trading paints and/or varnishes field, having as a basic vector- the quality and the quality of management, the analysis of infrastructure at the national level, and to elaborate a model of it, the elaboration of a complex study about the producing/trading of finishing materials field (paints and varnishes), having as a base the multilateral and controversial analyze vision of quality from the main subjects studied in this field: ,, Manufactures/commercialize (dealers), expert consumers.”, the elaboration of some methods and also of a statistic and econometric models, of analyzing the quality of management of local companies in order to improve the performances, as a result- of competitiveness, to capitalize the results of research by using the theoretical validation and to implement its results in the pilot company.

Scientific novelty and the originality of the thesis lies in the developing the quality notions, total quality and the quality of management, the introduction of such concepts as: the arrow of quality, chronological quality axis, the palm of quality, TQM scale, the TQM toothed wheel, the octagonal star of implementation the European standards, the quality of Moldova’s infrastructure, the elaboration of a new version of the page for completing complaints, to elaborate a new method and a new managerial, complex instrument of evaluation performances offered by the quality of management as a determined factor of the companies’ functionality in order to improve its competitiveness and performance, to elaborate and to apply some methods and stylistic econometric models in accordance with econometric calculation between different determined factors of economical, managerial activity result of analyzed companies.

The important scientific problem solved in this thesis is the elaboration of a complex method of evaluation performances of total quality of management within the producers and dealers, fact that approved the determination of econometric model, for the purpose of establishing directions of improving the companies’ performances.

Theoretical significance. The obtained results in the paper is a revelatory support of theoretical, methodological concepts in the total quality management field and managerial management layout, to improve the competitiveness, performance of producers and dealers.

Applied value of the work is the usefulness of the scientific arguments and the practical recommendations realized in the paper, which can be used in a wide range of fields: academic environment, state institutions, the chamber of commerce and industry, Consumer Protection Agency and market surveillance, Ministry of Environment, Council of Moldovan State aid competition, Ministry of Justice, etc.; Economic agents in the production field, marketing of finishing materials for improving the companies’ activity.

Implementation of scientific results: The results obtained were appreciated positively by three large local companies, mentioning the special importance of the research theme and respectively of the applicative value.
