Summary

The thesis is structured into introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, 192 bibliography references, 37 annexes, 145 pages of basic text, 47 figures, 27 tables. The obtained results are published in 16 scientific works.

Study field of the thesis is the interaction between higher education system and labour market.

The aim of the study is to establish the main directions of improvement and efficiency of young specialists' with higher education process of integration in the labour market of Republic of Moldova.

Objectives of the study are: analysis and synthesis of the theoretical and methodological aspects of human capital and employment of young people; establishing the degree of socioprofessional insertion of graduates of higher education, studying good international and national practices in the field of youth employment in context of current trends on development of competitive economy; identifying the characteristics of the process of transition from the higher educational system to the labour market; evaluating and testing econometric models for assessing the impact of higher education institutions, employers and public authorities on the employment of young specialists; establishing the main directions for making the insertion of young specialists into the labour market more efficient through a new system of the partnershippartnership-university-employer-legal environment triangle.

The scientific novelty and originality consists of 1) specification and definition of the ”labour market integration process of young specialists with high education”, taking into account particularities of age, interests and preferences of the analyzed population segment; 2) identifying the characteristics of the transition process from university education to the integration of the young specialist into the labour market; 3) highlighting the main expectations of the students and young specialists towards the employers and the legal-institutional environment, as well as formulating the employers' prescriptions towards the future employees and the process of preparing the human capital in the higher education institutions; 4) identifying and analyzing good international practices in the field of youth employment and possibility of their replication in Republic of Moldova; 5) Re-conceptualization of the young employment model based on the trilateral model of influence factors: universities, employers and the legalinstitutional environment; 6) to formulate some main directions for streamlining the labour market integration process of young Moldovan specialists with higher education.

The important solved scientific problem consists in substantiating the theoretical and methodological framework of the process of labour market integration of young specialists with higher education, which led to the re-conceptualization at national level of the youth employment model.

The theoretical importance of the thesis lies in the deepening of employment concept, focusing on the employment of young specialists with higher education.

The applicative value of the paper consists in the possibility of implementing the research results in: a) the higher education system (the managerial component - strategies for ensuring the competitiveness of the trainers for successful integration and professional adaptation, the didactic component - the development of the curricula and the course materials and the quality assurance component - monitoring the quality of teaching and the correlation of the university modules with the required skills on the labour market); b) the employers' environment (ensuring constructive dialogue and win-win sustainable partnership with higher education institutions); and c) the legal-institutional environment (developing national employment policies, youth policies, incentive regulation framework for employers support of young specialists).

Scientific results were implemented by the State University ”Alecu Russo” from Balti (USARB), Technical University of Moldova (UTM), State Agrarian University of Moldova (UASM), DRA ”Draexlmaier Automotive” SRL, National Agency for Employment.
