Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, 5 chapters, conclusions, bibliography comprising 132 titles, total volume containing 145 text pages, 20 tables and 62 figures. The results are published in 8 scientific papers. Key words: natural reserve, flora, vegetal associations, rare species, synanthropic flora, dendrochronological series, dendroclimatology, climatic changes. Field of study: Botany. The aim of this thesis: The detailed study in dynamics of the flora and vegetation, as well as the determination of reaction manner of the plants on the reserve area under the climatic changes and the anthropic effect in the recent period.

Objectives: The description of the physical- geographical particularities of the reserve, of the ecological and anthropic determinants responsible for the dynamics of the flora and vegetation; The inventory, the updating and the description of the floristic and phytocenotic summary of the “P ădurea Domnească” Natural Reserve, in the context of the influences exerted by the main destabilizing factors; The investigation of the expansion degree and highlighting groups of synanthropic and invasive plants on the reserve area; The identification of the type of relation between the growth of arboretum and the climatic factors and the hydrologic regime of the river Prut, of the intensity and the manner of reaction of the arboretum to the macroclimatic changes.

The scientific novelty: The researchcarried out between 2008-2016 on the territory of the “P ădurea Domnească” Natural Reserve presents an outstanding scientifi c interest because it reflects the current and dynamic situation of the flora and vegetation, it establishes the reaction of the main species of arboretum to the changes of the stational changes according to dendrochronological principles, it identifies the character of the process of synanthrope by identifying the main synanthropic species.

The scientific problem solved in the thesis paper is that it has been established the fact that the impact produced by the hydro technical facilities on the environment, the climatic changes of the 90’s of the previous century are complex and there are multiple approach possibilities, but knowing the manner of reaction and adaptation of the meadow ecosystem to these changes represents a challenge for the research activities in the domain of the environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. The theoretical significance of the thesis:The dynamic analysis of the flora and vegetation represents a special scientific interest, which, by highlighting the ecologic spectrum of the flora, biomorphs and phytogeographical elements, reflects the actual situation of the stational conditions and the development tendencies of these ecosystems. The applicative importance of the work:According to the dendroclimatic research it has been established for the first time the influence of the river Prut inflow and its water level on the species of white poplar, oak, and willow for above mentioned periods.

The identification of the synanthrope flora and vegetation on the territory of the reserve has a special practical value because the presence of synanthrope species represents a supplementary ecological factor with a negative influence upon the development and maintenance of the meadow flora and vegetation.

The implementation of scientific results: The obtained results can be used as didactic material to instruct the students at the specialty “Forestry and Public Gardens”, by the Moldsilva Agency and the Reserve personnel, as benchmarks to establish actions of conservation and preserving the biodiversity, by ecological institutions to know, evaluate and forecast the evolution directions of the components of the ground-climate-plant system, under current climatic changes.
