Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions, 197 references, 28 annexes, 147 pages of basic text, 32 drawing, 26 tables. The results of the thesis are published in 27 scientific works.
Domain of studying: Pedagogy. School education (by stages and disciplines) (Computer Science).
Aim of Investigation: the theoretical foundation, the elaboration and the experimental validation of the model and the methodology for forming and development of the competences of the future specialists in informatics through a system of didactic situations.
Objectives of investigation: (1) Determining the psycho-pedagogical aspects of the formation and development of students' competences through didactic situations; (2) Specification of the theoretical fundamental concepts on how to define, form and develop competences from the situational point of view; (3) Determination of the theoretical and methodological fundamentals and elaboration of the pedagogical model of students' competences training through didactic situations; (4) Establishment and didactical foundation of the in-situation training methodology oriented toward the students' competences development; (5) Experimental validation of the developed model and methodology within the academic discipline "Generic applications".
The important scientific problem solved in research consists in the scientific substantiation of the didactic situation’s role in the formation of competences, which led to the elaboration of a methodology of university education through a system of didactic situations in order to form and develop the competences of the students from the informatics specialties.
Theoretical significance of the investigation consists in broadening the spectrum of university methods of training the competences of future specialists in informatics (situational competence training method).
Applied value of the paper: the possibility of implementing the methodology of training through situation in the development of students' competences within the university disciplines.
Implementation of scientific results was attained by using the developed methodology in the teaching of the course "Generic Applications" at the Faculty of Real, Economic and Environmental Sciences at "Alecu Russo" Balti State University.
