The purpose and objectives of the thesis: the determination of the contents of the martial arts elements accessible to the introduction of the educational process of the students in gymnasium.

Objectives of the thesis: Studying theory and practice on the applicat ion of martial arts elements in extracurricular physical education; assessing the somatic development, physical and technical training of secondary school students; determination of martial arts elements specific to the wushu discipline for application in extracurricular physical education to secondary school students; the theoretical elaboration of the program and the experimental verification of the martial arts application methodology in the process of extracurricular physical education in secondary cycle.

The novelty and the scientific originality: consists in the introduction of martial arts elements in the instructive-educational process; developing and applying in the training practice an experimental model of specific program with martial arts elements specific to wushu.

The important scientific problem solved in the researched field consists in the interdisciplinary approach of the physical and technical training of the students in the gymnasium cycle by applying the martial arts elements specific to the discipline Wushu based on the elaborated program and the specific methodology for its application. Theoretical significance of the thesis: Is found in analyzing and sinthetizing contents theoretical and prdagogical topics reflecting the educational activity by introducing Wushu martial arts implementation material in the curriculum area of physical education and sport.

Practical value of the thesis: Experimental curriculum content has a wide implementation of physical education in schools making available a complex of activities of real effective, which will facilitate learning specific motor skills in Wushu martial arts and the development of physical attributes considering the particularities of secondary school age pupils.

The results of the researcheswere implemented in the extracurricular physical education process with the students from the gymnasium cycle of the General School no.194 in Bucharest, and the methodical recommendations of this research were applied in the process of training and improvement of the specialists in the field at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of the Ecological University of Bucharest and the Romanian Martial Arts Federation.
