Summary

Motivating 10 to 12 year old children through means of evaluation during activities at fitness/leisure clubs: the thesis for doctor in pedagogical sciences. Chisinau, 2019. The structure of the thesis: Introduction, 3 chapters, General Conclusions, Recommendations, Bibliography out of 201 titles, 5 annexes, 115 pages basic text, 62 figures,17 tables. The results obtained were published in 7 scientific thesis. Key words: leisure, motivation, evaluation, 10-12 year old children, leisure/fitness club activities, information, physical exercises, feedback, self assessment, self motivation. The purpose of te research is intended to perfect the psycho-pedagogical process regarding the ability to motivate 10 to 12 year old children within the activities of the “Leisure -Fitness’’ clubs by means of specific particularities of the didactic evaluation. The objectives of the research: 1. The analysis and generalization of the specific scientific -methodical literature concerning the psycho-pedagogical process among secondary pupils. 2. The study of the affective availability towards practicing the motor activities within specialized clubs of “Leisure-Fitness”. 3. The elaboration and setting into practice of the research programme, which focuses on the process of motivating 10 to 12 year old pupils by means of specific forms of evaluation. 4. Experimental argumentation of the methodology of using the evaluation approach in order to motivate 10 to 12 year old pupils when practising the activities in “Leisure-Fitness” clubs. The scientific novelty and originality : consists in the elaboration of the strategy to inform the secondary pupils about the requirements of the system of evaluation of competences with the aim to induce the habit of independent practice of motor activities in the “Leisure-Fitness” clubs. The results: achieved based on the practical examination of the elaborated methodology have contributed to the solving of the scientific problem in the researched field and have also determined two aspects: a)the identification of efficient means of motivating 10 to 12 year old pupils to practice fitness activities; b) the establishment of the efficiency of the appreciation system of competences by means of the diversity of specific evaluation forms. The theoretical value of the thesis illustrates the essential characteristic of motivating pupils by means of evaluation in the context of pedagogical creativity, the objectives of these phenomena are highlighted, and the levels of forming psycho-motor competences in pupils for the complex activities in the “Leisure-Fitness” clubs are also established. The process–oriented value of the thesis reveals the design of a methodological model based on reorganising the didactic contents and the elaboration of a strategy to support motivation by means of evaluation of 10 to 12 year old pupils which could be used in the practical activity of the “Leisure-Fitness” clubs, this contributing both to underlining the essential as well as the relevance of complex activities which result in a healthy lifestyle. The implementation of the scientific results. The results of the research have been used and will continue to be used in the activities of the Leisure-Fitness clubs, of the children and youth sports associations, in camps during holidays, in gymnasial schools as well as in the Romanian training centres of sports instructors and managers for their independent professional activity.
