Summary

Structure of the thesis: introduction, 3 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography composed of 137 sources, 1 table, 13 figures, 4 annexes, body text consisting of 163 pages. The obtained results have been published in 5 scientific research papers.

Field of study: University pedagogy with emphasis on the implementation of various paradigms in correlation with the peculiarities of the socio-economic environment; implementation of the "Bo-logna Process"- a new concept of higher education in the education system of the Republic of Mol-dova.

The aim of the research: conceptual and structural analysis of higher education paradigm in a diachronic context, identification of Bologna Process paradigm implementation findings in the Republic of Moldova

Objectives:
– defining/redefining the concept of „paradigm”;
– retrospective analysis of higher education evolution in universities;
– identification of specific peculiarities of university studies and of the foundation models of universities at different stages of higher education evolution;
– analysis of the current „Bologna Process” paradigm;
– overhaul of the effects of the new paradigm in the higher education system in the Republic of Moldova.

The scientific novelty and originality of the achieved results resides in the analysis and sys-temic evaluation of higher education paradigms, as well as in the capitalization of criterias for a systemic overhaul of higher education evolution. Determination of the characteristic parameters of university development models. Identification of functioning principles of universities in relation-ship with the social and economic environment and the evaluation of conceptual criteria reported to learning efficiency and quality of professional training.

The theoretical value of the research resides in the reinforcement of the higher education pedagogy, providing an algorithm for analyzing and evaluating the educational phenomenon in a systemic context with emphasis on higher education; developing a theoretical model for assessing the efficiency of the implementation of the new "Bologna Process" concept in the education system of the Republic of Moldova.

The practical value of the research consists in providing a model for analysis and evaluation of the quality of higher education from the perspective of the implementation of the new "Bologna Process" paradigm in the education system of the Republic of Moldova. The research reflects cur-rent educational policy requirements, and is also a feedback given to the strategic involvement at both system level and higher education institutions regarding the implementation of the new "Bolo-gna Process" paradigm.
