Summary

Structure of the thesis. The thesis is written in Romanian and consists of introduction, five chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 202 titles, 125 pages of basic text, 29 tables and 35 figures, 11 annexes with 3 tables and 92 figures. The results have been published in 19 scientific papers.

Field of study: Botany-164.01 Goal of the thesis: highlight of biomorphological and biochemical peculiarities of the giant knotweed for the purpose of cultivating it under the conditions of the Republic of Moldova. Objective s of the thesis : establishing of the ontogenesis of giant knotweed plants; elucidation of morpho-anatomical and biometric indices of plants; the qualitative and quantitative study of some useful biochemical compounds; the study of the seed germination capacity and the determination of the technology of propagation by seedlings; the determination of the productivity of plants; the identification of primary elements of cultivation.

Scientific novelty and originality: for the first time, under the climatic conditions of the Republic of Moldova was studied the biology of individual development, have been determined the morpho-anatomical peculiarities of plant organs; have been identified and dosed some useful biochemical compounds with feed and therapeutic potential; elaborated some primary elements of cultivatio n of plants under the conditio ns of the Republic of Moldova.

The obtained results that contribute to solving an important scientific problem in the the s is consist in the elucidation of the biological features of growth and development of the giant knotweed under the conditions of the Republic of Moldova, by highlighting the ontogenetic periods and stages of plants, the development of primary elements of cultivation, in order to implement it as a plant with valuable biochemical qualities in the circular flow of economic activity. The the ore tical s ignificance the biological features of growth and development of giant knotweed plants, elucidation on the basis of aspects of ontogenesis, phenology, anatomy, biochemistry and primary elements of cultivation in the climatic conditions of the country, were the basis of establishing the correlation between the phenological phases and the environmental factors, the dynamics of growth and accumulation the green mass, as one of the new perspectives plants for Republic of Moldova.

Practical value: the results of the research are current for the implementation of the giant knotweed plant in the country's economic circuit as a perspective fodder plant, which differs from the increased dynamics of accumulation and gradual valorization of the green mass; the green mass of plants, rich in useful chemical compounds (amino acids, macro- and microelements, flavonoids and tannins) which will expand the range of fodder products existing in the Republic of Moldova.

The implementation of scientific results: the scientific results are implemented in the didactic process at the faculty of Biology and Chemistry of Tiraspol State University (the courses Physiology of plants, Phytopathology, Plant physiology of unfavorable factors). The faculty of Pharmacy (the courses of Pharmaceutical Botany, Ecology and Medicinal p lants) in State University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testemiţanu”. They are also included in the research programme of the „Alexandru Ciubotaru” National Botanical Garden (Institute).
