Summary

Thesis structure: it is presented on 104 pages and is divided into: introduction, literature review, 3 chapters with own results, synthesis of results, conclusions and practical recommendations. The bibliographic index cites 207 sources. Iconographic material: 37 tables, 34 figures, 5 annexes. The scientific results obtained were reflected in 21 scientific papers.

Domain of research: pediatrics and neonatology - 322.01.

Aim of research: to estimate the risk factors and the prognostic ones involved in the occurrence of complications in children with congenital aortopathies, in order to elucidate their probability and to develop an integrated early diagnosis algorithm.

Objectives of research: elucidation of the clinical-paraclinical features of children with congenital aortopathies with or without complications; studying the evolution of the morphometric parameters of the aorta in children with congenital aortopathies in order to detect in time some complications (aneurysm, dissection, aortic rupture); determination of risk and prediction factors in the occurrence of specific complications of congenital aortopathies in children; development of an integrated algorithm in order to prevent possible complications of congenital aortopathies in children.

The scientific novelty and originality. An analytical follow-up study was performed on a group of children with congenital aortopathies from the Republic of Moldova, with an evaluation of clinical-paraclinical features, aortic morphometry and its evolution, risk factors and prognostic factors in children with congenital aortopathies.

The scientific problem solved in the study: consists in highlighting all the pediatricians-cardiologists of the risk factors with potential development in children with congenital aortopathies of the following complications: aneurysm, dissection, aortic rupture.

Theoretical significance. The results of the study demonstrate the need and importance of evaluating the morphometric parameters of the aorta in children with congenital aortopathies. The applicative value of the PhD thesis. The value of early diagnosis in complications of congenital aortopathies in children has been argued.

Implementation of research findings. The study results were used within the activity of the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic of the IMPH Mother and Child Institute, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova.
