Summary

The thesis comprises an introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, a bibliography of 192 entries, 13 charts. The basic text of the thesis covers 161 pages. The results of the present study were published in 10 research articles.

The area of research: narratology, text linguistics, stylistics, discourse analysis, communication theory.

The goals of the research are the elucidation of the main forms of verbal expression of the author's point of view, in linguistically stylistic aspect, by the additional integration of the results obtained in narratology, psychology, philosophy and visual arts.

Objectives of the research: following of the evolution of the concept of point of view and to identify its spheres of use; systematization of the information about the point of view and the author; description of the functioning of the point of view in the structure of the narrative text; application of the theoretical research results to the analysis of the factual material; analysis of the means of verbal expression of the author's point of view in perceptual, spatial, temporal and ideological aspects; arguing of the presence of linguistic-stylistic resources in the direct, indirect and free indirect speech; identification of the similarities and differences of the writing depending on the adopted point of view and the forms of reproduction of the discourse used.

The research novelty and originality reside in the attempt to present an integrated approach of the investigated subject at the confluence of narratology and linguistics, complementary to the researches conducted in the field of philosophy, psychology, literature theory, etc., which succeeded in their orientation in a common direction. Thanks to the extrapolation of the results obtained in these fields of investigation on narratology and linguistics, it was possible to develop an own model of analysis of the mechanisms of functioning of the means of verbal expression of the author's point of view, which confirms once more the universal character of the concept concerned.

The obtained scientific results are based on the recognition of the universal and interdisciplinary character of the treated issues, which allowed the development of an interpretative model of the functioning of the linguistic-stylistic means of verbal expression of the author's point of view.

Theoretical significance of the thesis resides in the opportunity to identify new verbal manifestations of the author's point of view, due to the interdisciplinary approach, which in turn seeks (re)discovering other ways of approaching and deepening the phenomenon studied and applying the theoretical models identified on a corpus of selected literary texts for this purpose.

Applied value of the thesis is determined by the possibility of implementing the results obtained during the university academic course, that is, within the courses of textual analysis, narratology, textual linguistics, stylistics, hermeneutics.
