Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, list of references including 173 referenced sources, 14 annexes, 149 pages of main text, 19 tables and 49 figures. The research findings are published in 14 scientific works.

The purpose of research consists in developing the theoretical and practical approach for improving investment management and development of effective investment strategies in enterprises in the Republic of Moldova, in order to increase their competitiveness in sustainable development.

Research tasks: research, systematization and analysis of investment management concepts, models and methods, analysis of the level of investment activity in Moldovan and Swiss enterprises and identifying the problems that companies face when carrying out the investment activity in order to develop the algorithm for developing / updating the investment strategy of the enterprise through information technologies.

Scientific novelty and originality: the work substantiates the strategic approach in investment management to achieve maximum efficiency and competitiveness of the business entity in the conditions of strategic development; improves analysis of impact factors influencing business investment activities; reasons the content of the notions „investment active behavior” and „investment passive behavior” and specifies their peculiar features; develops an algorithm for building up a business investment strategy.

The results that address important scientific problem solved by the work the findings of the theoretical and practical studies in the field of investment management allowed to identify and lay down main elements of business investment strategy served as a basis for software development. The proposed method will allow reducing investment strategy development/updating costs.

Theoretical importance and practical value of the work is that the studies made within this thesis work elaborate the theoretical aspects of investment strategy development and implementation by business entities.

Implementation of scientific results: the research findings and proposed investment strategy development/updating method found practical use and were implemented by the following business entities.
