Summary

Thesis structure. The doctoral thesis has 157 pages and contains: annotation in Romanian, Russian and English, introduction, four chapters, general conclusions and practical recommendations, bibliography with 230 sources. Illustrative material includes 7 tables and 89 figures. The results of the research were reflected in 11 scientific publications: 3 articles in national journals (including 2 single-author articles) and 8 articles in international journals with impact factor.

Field of study: refers to regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, dentistry. The aim of study: reconstruction of atrophied alveolar jaws using the recombinant human plateletderived growth factor - BB.

Objectives. Determination of osteoconductive properties of titanium implants with calciumphosphate surface; assessment of bone reformation after application of deproteinized bone matrix; elaboration of the bone augmentation method with simultaneous dental implantation, using matrix from crestal biomaterial; determination of the influence of collagen membrane and platelet-derived recombinant growth factor on augmentation; clinical retrospective evaluation of dental implants.

Scientific novelty. The property of bioactive implants to induce bone growth has been demonstrated. Results were obtained regarding: bone regeneration with the use of xenograft; biochemical processes during remodeling; factors that influence bone remodeling processes at various intervals, the evolution of the stability of the dental implants installed simultaneously with guided bone regeneration procedures; the survival rate of these implants.

Theoretical significance. It consists in creating a concept of bone reconstruction using modern principles of tissue engineering with the possibility of use in various fields of medicine. Application value. Experimental and clinical data obtained are used to optimize bone regeneration and have the potential for use in implantology.

Implementation of scientific results. The results obtained were implemented in the teaching process of the regenerative medicine course and in the scientific process of the Laboratory of Tissue Engineering and Cell Cultures.
