Summary

Structure of thesis: the work is laied on the 324 electronic pages and is devided into several compartments: introduction, 6 chapters of original research, conclusions and practical recommendations, bibliography (360 items), 88 figures, 73 tables, 9 annexes. The obtained results of this thesis are published in 26 scientific articles.

Domain of study: Pediatrics.

Aim of study: Complex evaluation of medical, social, managerial and informational aspects of the situation of children in Moldova, who temporarily remained without parents’ care because of the parents’ labour migration, in order to improve medical assistance offered to these children by healthcare system in Republic of Moldova.

Objectives of the study: Retrospective analysis of parents’ migration phenomenon in Republic of Moldova. The study of the impact of parental labour migration upon children’s health. Complex analysis of morbidity of children, marked by parental labour migration and the quality of medical assistance offered to these children. Evaluation of life quality of children affected by parental labour migration. Identification of factors of action upon morbidity of children marked by labour migration of their parents. Elaboration of standards of supervision of children and privention of negative effects of parental migration upon children’s health.

Novelty and scientific originality: In premiere in Republic of Moldova there was estimated the impact of parental labour migration upon children’s health and there were identified the risks with the elaboration of standards of supervision of negative effects produced upon children’s health by the labour parental migration. There was appreciated the quality of life of children marked by their parents’ labor migration and there was specified the role of applied tools to estimate the clinical and social meaning. There was analyzed the addressability of children marked by parent’s labor migration for the services of medical assistance and its accessibility was studied.

Important scientific problem: There were brought arguments and set scientific possibilities on prevention of negative effects of parental labor migration upon children’s health by means of development and enhancing of supervision management of risk factors.

Theoretical meaning: The results of the research solved regional peculiarities of parents’ labour migration and defined medico-social profile of children of migrants. The work brought contribution through estimation of the quality of life of children marked by parental labour migration and the elaboration of standards of efficient supervision of their health. The work brought arguments for the necessity to organize educational services in medical domain, that are oriented to improve the offering medical assistance to children of migrants.

Application value of the work: The study of evaluation of the quality of medical assistance offered to the children of migrants has ended with the elaboration of a set of practical recommendations for the specialists from the domain of specialized and primary medical assistance. There was adapted and recommended for the use the instrument of questionnaire PedsQL™ Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory Version 4.0 English.

Implementation of the rezults: The results of the research represent a methodological support to assure decisions based on the evidences in terms of prevention of the risk factors upon the health of chidren marked by parental labour migration within regional healthcare institutions; it is also applied in didactical process of the Pediatrician Department and in practice of pediatrical clinics of public institutions of SUMPh „Nicolae Testemițanu”.
