Objectives of the paper: to study the literature of the specialized field regarding the methodology of improvement of the psychomotor skills of the military students by means adapted from the martial arts (aikido, judo, karate); establishing the specific contents of the military physical education lessons by introducing the means of martial arts based on the opinions of the specialists in the field; determining the level of general physical training of military students within the military physical education system; the development of the experimental program and the argumentation of its effectiveness regarding the development of psychomotor capacities in military students. .Scientific novelty and originality: It consists in the efficiency of selecting and applying the means of martial arts adapted for the formation, development and improvement of psychomotor skills of military students, in military physical education lessons in order to reach a high level of professional-applied physical training. Results: They consist in the scientific argumentation of the efficient contribution of the means of the martial arts, included in the process of developing the psychomotor skills for a higher level of professional-applied physical training of the military students with a view to the integral training of the specialist in the field. Theoretical significance: It resides in the realization of the process of formation of the theoretical and practical knowledge to the military students by applying the specific means of martial arts (aikido, judo, karate) during the lessons of military physical education with the students of the academy. Elaboration of the training program for a period of one year, the content of which shows how to apply the teaching strategies for the respective period. Applicative value of the thesis: It points out that the results obtained from the research are applicable both in the hours of military physical education and in the training process specific to the martial arts, according to the objectives established using appropriate methods. Implementation of scientific results: The results of the research were approved and implemented in the didactic process of preparation in the discipline "Military Physical Education" in the Air Forces Academy "Henri Coandă" Brașov and in the competitive training programs of the sports martial arts groups (judo, karate, taekwondo). The training programs were taken over, adapted and implemented by other military and civilian educational institutions.
