development from the level of the municipality of Bucharest, the Bucharest-Ilfov region and
Romania, as well as the application of some econometric methods to the links between specific
indicators of SMEs with research-development-innovation activity, to determine predicting models
for the studied indicators in order to substantiate decisions at the micro and macroeconomic level.
Research objectives: identifying and systematizing aspects regarding the notions of
innovation and sustainable development, as well as their taxonomy; presenting the influence of the
innovation process on the sustainable development process; presenting and deepening of innovation

innovation with the help of the Eviews statistical-econometric analysis program.
Novelty and scientific originality: it consists in the elaboration of a detailed research of the
theoretical and practical aspects regarding the innovation process and the sustainable development
