In work results of long-term researches of fish communities from the Cuciurgan Cooling Reservoir of the Moldоvan Power Station are generalized.
There have been revealed taxonomic structure of the fish community and distribution of populations of dominating species in time and in space at the present stage of operation of the water basin as cooler of the Moldovan Power Station. Long-term materials of quantitative field researches on linearly-weight growth, age structure, feed spectrum, the condition of reproductive system, absolute and relative prolification in dominating species are analyzed.
Parameters of mathematical models laying at the basis of the estimation of efficiency in fish populations are calculated. The general features of life history strategy in various species of fish at formation of somatic and generative production are revealed.
The correlation of the linearly-weight sizes of dominating predatory and non-predatory fish species from the Cuciurgan Cooling Reservoir and factors causing it have been determined. On the base of comparative estimation of sigmoidal and parabolic fish growth models there has been drawn a conclusion that for the majority of poikylothermic animals of the most different position during long periods of the postembryonal development, their growth can be approximated by simple mathematical equations.
According to the obtained data, all three types of growth (exponential, parabolic and S-shaped) are based on functional interdependence of growth rate and energy exchange.
On the basis of complex interdisciplinary hydrobiological and icthyological research the scientific concept about the uniform laws underlying functioning of various groups of poikylothermic animals and the role of their population in biotic matter cycles and energy transformation is developed.
