The present research focuses on the problem of improving the instructive-educational process of secondary school pupils on the basis of applying of the sports wrestling training with a many-sided effect in training.
As a result of the research carried out on the given problem, it has been pointed out that the efficiency of the many-sided training of gymnasium pupils is rather reduced, one of the causes being the incomplete traditional organizational methods, which do not always take into account the laws of theory and the methods of physical education.
In response to our research, the experimental program has been elaborated and practically applied to 11-13 year old pupils, having as a basis the sports wrestling training, whose structure and content have been determined by the theme of the issues under study, as included in the main frame of the teaching process - the physical education class.
The application of this program during the pedagogical experiment proved is efficiency. The pupils of the experimental group, in comparison with those from the witness group, obtained superior results to all tests categories.
From the aimed research and the presentation of its results, it can be pointed out that the application of different sports wrestling exercises from the standpoint of motive expression, effort type, and learning method, to gymnasium pupils constitutes an efficient method of increasing the quality of students'motility qualities.
The results obtained may be applied successfully as practical-methodical recommendations for the teachers in gymnasiums, who teach physical education, as well as study material for the subject Theory and methods of physical education for the students of the Faculties of Physical Education and Sports.
